Device description
The CR 12DA is a cordless reciprocating saw powered by a 12V battery. It features a blade holder, adjustable base, LED light, and a remaining battery indicator.
Mounting and operation
- Battery: Ensure the battery is firmly installed to prevent it from falling out.
- Blade installation: Rotate the blade holder in the direction of the arrow, insert the blade fully into the slit, and release the holder to lock it. Pull the blade back to ensure it is secure.
- Jigsaw blade: A T-shank jigsaw blade can be used by fitting the shank into the center cavity.
- Base adjustment: Adjust the base as needed for the cutting application.
- Plunge cutting: Use the collar or base as support and cut gradually from the tip of the blade.
Safety
- Always wear eye protection.
- Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces when cutting near hidden wiring.
- Use clamps to secure the workpiece to a stable platform.
- Do not touch the blade immediately after use as it will be hot.
- If the blade breaks, use the tip of another blade to hook and remove the broken piece from the slit.
Maintenance and inspection
- Inspect the blade regularly; replace dull or damaged blades immediately.
- Check all mounting screws periodically and tighten if loose.
- Clean the tool exterior with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth moistened with soapy water. Do not use chlorine solvents, gasoline, or paint thinner.
- Store the tool and battery in a place where the temperature is below 40°C and out of reach of children.
Troubleshooting
If the tool stops during operation, it may be due to the protection function. Release the switch, eliminate the cause of the overload, and resume use. If the battery is overheated, allow it to cool before continuing.
