Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential instructions for the HiKOKI DH 12DD cordless rotary hammer. It covers safe operation, battery charging, and maintenance. Always ensure the tool is switched off and the battery is removed before performing any maintenance or changing accessories.
Device Description
The DH 12DD is a cordless rotary hammer featuring a handle, switch trigger, change lever, depth gauge, and LED light. It includes an auto-stop function and Reactive Force Control (RFC) for enhanced safety and performance.
Charging
Before use, charge the battery using the specified charger. Connect the charger to a power source, insert the battery, and monitor the pilot lamp for charging status (Blinking: Before/Complete, Steady: Charging, Flickering: Malfunction).
Operation
The tool offers rotation and hammering, or rotation-only modes. Use the changeover switch to select rotation speed (Low/Normal) and to toggle the auto-stop function. The auto-stop function records drilling time to assist in consistent, repetitive drilling tasks.
Reactive Force Control (RFC)
The RFC feature reduces tool body jerking if the bit is suddenly overburdened. If triggered, the motor stops and the display lamp blinks. Release the switch and remove the cause of the overload before continuing.
Maintenance and Inspection
Regularly inspect the tool for wear, ensure all mounting screws are tight, and keep the motor winding clean and dry. Clean the battery installation compartment and terminals after drilling concrete to prevent contact failures.
Troubleshooting
If the tool fails to operate, check the battery charge, ensure it is securely attached, and clean any accumulated concrete dust from the terminals. If the tool stops suddenly, it may be due to overload or overheating; allow the battery to cool or remove the cause of the overload.
