Quick guide from the manual

The HiKOKI UB 18DD is a cordless work light designed for illuminating work sites. It can be powered by a compatible HiKOKI battery or an AC power cord. It also features a USB port for charging external devices.

Device Description

The unit features an adjustable LED light head, a handle for portability, a stand for stable positioning, and a tripod mount (5/8-UNC). It includes a battery compartment, an AC socket, and a USB port protected by rubber covers.

Operation

Inserting/Removing Battery: Slide the battery into the mount until it clicks. To remove, pull it out while pressing the latch.

AC Power: Pull back the rubber cover and insert the AC cord plug fully into the socket. The lock ring secures the connection. Plug the other end into an electrical outlet.

Turning On/Off: Use the switch on the unit to turn the light on or off. The brightness can be adjusted using the adjustment dial.

Tripod Mounting: The unit can be mounted on a tripod using the 5/8-UNC screw hole. If the tripod screw is shorter than 20 mm, use the included adapter.

Charging

Before use, charge the battery using a compatible HiKOKI charger. Insert the battery into the charger; the pilot lamp will indicate the charging status (e.g., solid red for charging, blinking red for complete).

Maintenance and Inspection

Regularly inspect all mounting screws for tightness. Keep the battery terminals free of swarf and dust to prevent short circuits. Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth moistened with soapy water. Do not use solvents like gasoline or paint thinner.

Safety

Always turn off the switch and remove the battery/AC cord when not in use. Keep the light at least 50 cm away from illuminated objects. Do not touch the LED cover while in use or immediately after, as it remains hot.
