Operation

  • Removing/Inserting Battery: Use the latch to remove or insert the battery pack.

  • Rotation Direction: Use the push button to reverse the rotational direction.
  • Speed Control: The trigger switch allows for stepless speed variation. Avoid stopping the motor while driving screws at low speed to prevent overheating the electronic circuit.

Maintenance and Inspection

  • Socket: Periodically inspect the hex or square-holed socket for wear or deformation. Replace if necessary to maintain tightening torque.

  • Motor: Keep the motor winding clean and free from oil or water.
  • Terminals: Ensure no swarf or dust has collected on the tool or battery terminals.

Safety Warnings

  • Always hold the tool firmly during operation.
  • Do not touch the turning part or metal parts after continuous use, as they become very hot.
  • Do not look directly into the LED light.

Common problems

Motor stops during operation

This may be due to the battery protection function. If the battery is empty, charge it immediately. If the tool is overloaded, release the switch and remove the cause of the overload. If the battery is overheated, stop use and let it cool down.

Pilot lamp on charger does not blink red

Check if the charger cord is properly connected. If it still does not blink, the protection circuit may be activated; unplug the charger for 5 minutes and try again. If it still fails, contact a HiKOKI Authorized Service Center.

Battery charging fails to complete

Ensure the battery is inserted firmly. If the pilot lamp flickers in red, check for foreign objects in the charger's battery connector. If no foreign objects are found, the battery or charger may be malfunctioning.

Before use

  • Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit.
  • Check that the battery is fully charged.
  • Inspect the socket for wear or deformation.
  • Ensure all mounting screws are properly tightened.
  • Check that no swarf or dust has collected on the terminals.
