User Manual for Holman Retractable Hose Reel

Quick Guide

This guide covers the installation and operation of the Holman Retractable Hose Reel. Important: Do not leave the tap turned on when the hose is not in use. Always turn the tap off and press the lever on the spray gun to release water pressure before retracting the hose back into the housing.

Installation

1. Check that the Tap-to-Reel hose can reach your tap before installing the wall bracket.
2. Place the Wall Bracket against the wall or wooden post and mark the center of each hole.
3. Drill the four holes using the correct drill bit size for your model (refer to the drill bit table in the manual).
4. Hammer the Wall Plugs into the wall (not required for wooden posts).
5. Place the Wall Bracket over the plugs and secure it with the Hexagonal Coach Bolts.
6. Remove the securing pin at the base of the Mounting Tube on the Hose Reel.
7. Remove the Mounting Tube from the Hose Reel and slot it over the Wall Bracket.
8. Align the holes in the Housing with the holes in the Wall Bracket.
9. Insert the Mounting Tube back into the holes on the Wall Bracket and Housing, then replace the securing pin.
10. Connect the Tap-to-Reel hose to your garden tap.

Care and Troubleshooting

Retraction: When walking the hose back to the housing, turn off the tap and press the lever on the watering gun to release water pressure. This makes retraction easier and prolongs the life of the reel.

Troubleshooting: If the hose is fully extended and will not retract, the retraction wheel may be stuck. Grip the hose close to the guide hole and gently pull. This movement will unlock the wheel, allowing you to slowly guide the hose back into the unit.

Warnings:

• Do not leave the water turned on with the hose under pressure when not in use.
• Always turn the water off and draw the water from the hose after use.
• Do not attempt to pull the hose reel apart.
• Do not pull the hose to start retraction and let go; always guide the hose back to the housing.
• Do not pull the hose past the indication sticker located 1 meter before the maximum length.

Spare Parts

Warranty

Holman offers a 2-year replacement guarantee on the housing and a 6-year replacement guarantee on the hose for domestic use. This covers defects caused by faulty workmanship and materials. Proof of purchase is required for claims.
