This manual covers the VEVOR 1224BT-100 series hose reels. Before operation, ensure the work area is well-ventilated and free of ignition sources. Always check for damaged parts before use and ensure all fluid connections are tightened. The reel features an integrated locking ratchet system; pull the hose slowly to the desired length until you hear the locking clicks.

General safety rules
Fire and Explosion: When working with flammable fluids like gasoline, ensure the area is well-ventilated. Eliminate all ignition sources such as cigarettes or portable electric lamps. Keep a working fire extinguisher nearby. Ensure line pressure does not exceed the rated operating pressure of your specific model.
Skin Touch: Fluid leaks or ruptured components can be harmful to the skin. Clean with water immediately if contact occurs. Do not point the dispensing device at anyone, do not put your hand over the fluid outlet, and do not attempt to stop leaks with your hand, body, or rags.
Equipment misuse
To prevent injury and damage, follow these guidelines:
- Pull the hose from the reel by grasping the hose itself, not the control valve.
- Use the reel only for the required type of oil/fluid specified for your model.
- Route hoses away from traffic areas, sharp edges, moving parts, and hot surfaces.
- Do not kink or over-bend hoses.
- Do not use the hose to pull equipment.
- Keep children and animals away from the work area.
Installation
Preparation: Wear gloves to avoid scratches from sharp parts. Check that all accessories are complete and in good condition.

Step 1: Secure the hose reel to a wall or truck deck using appropriate hardware. Tighten securely.
Step 2: Connect the fuel gun (if applicable). It is recommended to wrap 3 to 5 loops of PTFE tape around the joint.
Step 3: Connect the reel inlet to the oil supply tank or mobile oil source unit. Use PTFE tape around the joint.
Operation
Grasp the hose and slowly pull it out to the required length. The ratchet system will hold the hose in place when you hear the clicking sound. During the process of pulling out the hose, you will hear four consecutive clicking sounds. The first to third sounds lock the reel; the fourth sound passes the lock, requiring you to pull to the next cycle. To retract, hold the hose, pull out slightly, and then slowly guide it back, ensuring it is evenly wound.

Maintenance
Maintain your reel by checking for damaged parts before each use. If the rewind spring fails, the spring canister replacement must be performed by an authorized service technician due to high tension. Periodically check the hose for wear and the swivel fitting for leakage. Store the reel indoors when not in use to avoid damage from rain.
Troubleshooting
If the hose does not fully retract, the outlet nozzle may be too heavy, the spring may be fatigued, or the replacement hose may be too long. If the reel does not latch, check for incorrect operation or a worn latch assembly. If fluid leaks from the swivel, the seals are likely damaged or worn and need replacement.
