The Ideal Lux NOVA FI is a recessed LED spotlight available in 12W and 30W versions. This manual provides essential installation and wiring instructions for both models. Always ensure power is isolated before beginning any installation or maintenance work.
Installation
Drilling
Before installing, drill a hole in the ceiling according to the specific model requirements:
- NOVA FI 12W: 90 mm diameter hole.
- NOVA FI 30W: 140 mm diameter hole.
Ensure there is sufficient space above the ceiling (minimum 112 mm) and maintain a 200 mm clearance from other objects as illustrated.
Wiring
Connect the driver to the downlight using the quick connection cable. Pay close attention to the polarities (+) and (-). The driver inputs can be wired to various dimming devices depending on the model:
- 1-10V Dimming: Connect the 1-10V signal to the DIM/1-10V input.
- DALI Dimming: Connect the DALI signal to the DALI input.
- PUSH Dimming (30W only): Connect the PUSH button to the PUSH input.
Always refer to the specific data sheets provided with the driver for detailed connection requirements.
Final Assembly
Insert the spotlight into the ceiling hole by lifting the side springs. For the 30W model, tighten the screws as indicated and close the structure with the specific design ring.
Safety Instructions
- Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician.
- If the external cable is damaged, it must be replaced exclusively by the manufacturer, distributor, or a qualified electrician.
- The luminaire contains parts that can become very hot.
- Do not cover the fixture with thermally insulating material.
- Do not stare directly into the operating light source.
- If the safety glass is cracked or broken, it must be replaced immediately using manufacturer-approved parts.

Common problems
Light does not turn on
Check the fuse and ensure all electrical connections are secure and correctly wired.
Flickering or dimming issues
Verify the wiring polarity (+/-) and ensure the dimming device (1-10V, DALI, or PUSH) is compatible with the driver.
Before use
- Ensure power is isolated before starting installation.
- Verify the ceiling material can support the fixture.
- Check that the hole diameter matches the model (90mm for 12W, 140mm for 30W).
- Confirm the driver is connected correctly to the secondary output (SEC).
- Ensure all screws are tightened firmly to avoid contact problems.
