The IKEA 10-year guarantee applies to sofas, sofa-beds, and armchairs used for domestic purposes. To claim the guarantee, you must keep your original purchase receipt, as it serves as the only proof of the purchase date. The guarantee is valid for ten (10) years from the date of purchase.
Warranty Coverage
The guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship for the following components:
- Frames
- Seat and back cushions
The STOCKHOLM 2025 series is covered by a 25-year guarantee.
What is Not Covered
The guarantee does not cover the following:
- Fabric and leather covers
- POÄNG cushions
- POÄNG children's armchair
- STRANDMON children's armchair
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by improper assembly, misuse, lack of cleaning, accidents, or storage
- Products placed outdoors or in humid environments
- Non-domestic use
Maintenance and Care
To maintain your furniture, follow these guidelines:
- Cushions: Fluff cushions at least once a month to maintain their shape. Rotate cushions regularly so that those used more frequently are swapped with those used less.
- Legs: Tighten the screws on the legs after two weeks of use, and then check them twice a year.
Cleaning Instructions
Washable Covers
- Follow the specific care and cleaning instructions provided with the product.
- Iron the cover while it is still slightly damp.
- Reattach the cover while it is still slightly damp, as it stretches more easily, making it faster to fit. Ensure the cover is not too wet when placing it on the frame.
Leather Furniture
- Vacuum regularly using the soft brush attachment.
- Place furniture at least 30 cm away from any heat source and avoid direct sunlight to prevent leather damage.
- Clean thoroughly once or twice a year using leather care products.
- Never use detergents.
- Wipe up liquids like coffee or red wine immediately, as light-colored leather is sensitive to staining.
- Note for STOCKHOLM leather sofa: Clean with a soft brush vacuum attachment. If necessary, wipe with a slightly damp cloth. Leather care products are not suitable for this specific model.
