The Lucci Decor Muse 12LT Pendant Light is a heavy lighting fixture (18.5kg) that must be installed by a licensed electrician. Due to its weight and size, two people are required for the installation process. This is a Class I product and must be earthed. It is designed for indoor use only.
Installation Requirements
- Professional Installation: Must be assembled and installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with local and national wiring rules (e.g., AS/NZS 3000).
- Safety: Ensure power to the circuit is switched OFF before starting.
- Mounting: The mounting point must support at least 2 times the weight of the luminaire (18.5kg).
- Environment: Suitable for indoor use only. Avoid installation in direct line of air vents or in areas prone to moisture without proper ventilation.
- Inspection: Check for damage during transport before installation. Do not install if damaged.
Installation Directions

- Remove all packaging and lay out components on a smooth, non-scratch surface.
- Use the mounting bracket (D) as a template to mark screw positions on the ceiling.
- Install the mounting bracket (D) using appropriately sized screws (E) and anchors (C).
- Adjust the chain suspension (K) length using chain-link connectors (B) to the desired height.
- Loop and install the safety lanyard (L) securely onto the mounting bracket (D).
- Hang the luminaire onto the mounting bracket ring using the luminaire hook (F).
- Important: Ensure the weight of the luminaire is supported by the chain suspension (K), NOT the luminaire cord (J) or safety lanyard (L).
- Connect the wiring to the terminal block (A) as described in the wiring section.
- Push the canopy (G) flush to the ceiling and secure with screw (I).
- Install globes (T - not included) into the lamp holders. Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.
- Hang the shades (N, O, P, Q, R, S) onto the luminaire frame (M).
- Remove tape from shades and clean off any fingerprints.
Wiring Instructions
Connect the luminaire wires (J) and the earth cable from the canopy to the terminal block (A) as follows:
- Earth: Yellow/Green wire to Yellow/Green or Earth symbol.
- Neutral: Blue or Black wire to Blue or N.
- Live: Brown or Red wire to Brown or L.
Ensure all wires are secure and no bare wires are exposed.
Maintenance and Safety
- Power Off: Always ensure power is OFF and the luminaire has cooled down before maintenance, cleaning, or changing globes.
- Cleaning: Wipe with a soft damp cloth. Do NOT soak or immerse in water or other liquids.
- Chemicals: Do not allow contact with corrosive chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
- Safety: Ensure power leads and screws are secure before reconnecting power.
