The Lucci Mermaid Bollard (SKU# 229180) is a 12V extra-low voltage outdoor luminaire. Important: This product must not be plugged directly into 240V. It requires a compatible Lucci transformer and wiring kit, which are sold separately. The unit is IP65 rated, meaning it is protected against water jets from any direction, but it is not designed to be submerged in water.

Installation requirements

• Ensure the power to the circuit is switched OFF before starting any electrical work.
• All wiring must adhere to local and national electrical rules (e.g., AS/NZS 3000).
• Select a location with proper drainage (e.g., gravel substrate) to prevent the wiring kit and connectors from being submerged in water.
• Do not pull electrical wires during unpacking to avoid damaging connections.
• Check all components for damage before installation.

Installation directions

1. Remove all packaging material, ensuring no accessories are discarded.
2. Install the spike onto the luminaire.
3. Select a suitable location for the luminaire.
4. Using Lucci Wiring Kit and Transformers: Connect the luminaire to the transformer via the quick connector. Use the wiring kit if cable extension is required.
5. Using Other Wiring/Transformer: Remove the 12V bi-pin connector for hard wiring. Ensure all wires are secure, no bare wires are exposed, and the transformer is appropriately rated.
6. Turn the power on and test the luminaire.

Safety tips

• Always ensure the power is OFF and the luminaire has cooled down before maintenance or cleaning.
• The external flexible cable cannot be replaced; if damaged, the luminaire must be destroyed.
• Do not use the luminaire if the protective shield is cracked or damaged.
• Ensure power leads are secure before connecting power.
• Clean only with a damp cloth; never soak the luminaire in water.
