This document provides essential safety and operational instructions for Mascot 0001R power supplies. Before using the product, verify the specific model markings on the device to ensure correct application. The product is designed for indoor use (unless marked IP67) and is intended for charging batteries or powering electrical accessories.

Safety instructions

• Fire and electric shock: Read all instructions before use and retain for future reference.
• Insulation: Products with the double square symbol are double insulated (Class II). Products without this mark are Class I and must be connected to a supply mains with protective earth.
• IP Ratings: Various versions exist (IP41, IP44, IP67). Ensure the product's IP rating is suitable for your environment.
• Medical use: If specified to comply with IEC60601-1, the product may be used in medical applications. Follow specific installation requirements for Class I products in home healthcare environments.
• Environment: Keep away from heat sources and flammable gases. Operate within the specified temperature (+5 to +40°C), humidity, and pressure ranges.

Installation and usage

• Powering on/off: The product is switched on by inserting the mains plug into the socket and off by disconnecting it.
• Cables: Ensure the mains cord is undamaged. If damaged, do not use the product; replacement must be carried out by qualified personnel.
• Airflow: Ensure sufficient room for air circulation around the product during use. Do not cover it.
• USA usage: Use a 125V 15A receptacle configuration and a UL817-standard compliant mains cord (NEMA 1-15).
• International usage: Use a mains cord compliant with country-specific requirements.

Connections

Exchangeable DC-output plugs

To connect for the desired polarity, both plug ends are clearly marked. When connected, the female plug is also marked on each side to identify polarity. The center polarity is indicated on the plug.

Exchangeable AC-plugs

Various AC plugs are available (EURO, US, UK, AUS). Ensure the correct plug is attached for your region.

Mounting

For wall mounting using the Mascot bracket (part no. 205800):

1. Fix the bracket to the wall using four suitable screws (head diameter 8-9.5 mm, head height max 3 mm, thread diameter 4-5.5 mm, length min 16 mm).
2. Place the power supply/charger centered on the bracket so the slot in the bottom housing aligns with the bracket tabs.
3. Push down on the handle marked "Push" while pushing the product against the wall. Release to lock.
4. To release, push down on the "Push" handle while pulling the product away from the wall.

Maintenance

No special maintenance is required. If the product becomes dusty or dirty, wipe it clean with a dry cloth while disconnected from the mains. Avoid contact with lotions, oils, grease, and solvents, especially for plastic casings.

Troubleshooting

If an operational error or unexpected performance change occurs, disconnect the product from the mains immediately and contact the supplier or manufacturer.
