Product Overview

The MAUL 1623009.100-SW is a precision letter scale designed for accurate weighing. It operates on two standard AAA batteries, which are included. The device features a user-friendly interface with an ON/OFF button and a TARE function for net weight measurements.

Setup and Operation

• Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scale and insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Remove the insulation film before first use.
• Positioning: Place the scale on a flat, stable, and horizontal surface to ensure accurate readings.
• Weighing: Press the ON/OFF button. Wait for the display to show zero before placing the item on the scale.
• Tare Function: Place an empty container on the scale and press the TARE button to reset the display to zero. You can then add the item to be weighed, and the scale will display only the net weight.
• Automatic Switch-off: The scale automatically turns off after approximately 1.5 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.

User Calibration

If necessary, the scale can be recalibrated by the user:

• With the scale turned off, press the ON/OFF button five times in quick succession and hold it.
• A numeric value will appear. Press the ON/OFF button again.
• The display will show 'ZEro' followed by '2000'.
• Place a 2kg calibration weight on the scale.
• The display will show 'PASS' and then '2000', indicating successful calibration.
• Important: Ensure the scale is not exposed to vibrations or drafts during the calibration process.

Troubleshooting and Error Codes

• unSt: The scale is not on a stable surface.
• EEEE: The weight exceeds the maximum capacity of the scale.
• Lo: The batteries are depleted and need to be replaced.

Safety and Maintenance

This device complies with EU Directive 2014/31/EU. Note that strong electromagnetic interference (e.g., nearby transmitters) may affect the display. The scale is not intended for use in official legal metrology. Do not dispose of the device in unsorted household waste; it must be collected separately as electronic waste according to local regulations.
