Product Description

The MAUL 1664509.100F is a precision letter scale designed for accurate weight measurement. It features a digital display, multiple unit options (g, lb/oz, oz, ml), and a tare function for net weight calculation.

Getting Started

To begin using the scale, insert the included CR2032 battery into the compartment on the underside, ensuring correct polarity. Remove the plastic insulation strip before the first use. Place the scale on a flat, horizontal surface to ensure accurate readings.

Operation

• Weighing: Switch on using the ON/OFF/TARE button. Wait for the display to show zero before placing the item on the scale.
• Tare Function: Place an empty container on the scale and press ON/OFF/TARE to reset the display to zero. You can then add the item to be weighed to see only the net weight.
• Switching Units: With the scale powered on, press the Unit button to cycle through available weight units (g, lb/oz, oz, ml).
• Switching Off: Press and hold the ON/OFF/TARE button until the display turns off. The scale features an automatic shut-off after approximately one minute of inactivity.

Calibration

If necessary, the user can recalibrate the scale. With the scale off and empty, press and hold the ON/OFF/TARE and g buttons simultaneously until a number appears. Press ON/OFF/TARE again. When ZERO and 5000 appear, place a 5kg calibration weight on the scale and press ON/OFF/TARE. The display will show CAL, then PASS, and finally 5000g, indicating successful calibration. Ensure the scale is free from vibrations or drafts during this process.

Safety and Maintenance

The device complies with EU directives 90/384/EEC and 2014/31/EU. Extreme electromagnetic interference may temporarily affect readings; the scale will function normally once the interference ceases. Do not use the scale for official trade applications requiring calibration. Keep the scale clean and avoid exposing it to mechanical damage or improper handling.

Troubleshooting

• EEEE: Indicates the weight exceeds the maximum capacity of the scale. Remove the weight immediately.
• Battery Symbol: Indicates that the batteries are exhausted and need to be replaced.

Disposal

Do not dispose of the scale or batteries in unsorted household waste. Batteries should be returned to retail collection points. The device should be collected separately as electronic waste according to local municipal regulations.
