Product Overview

The MAULgloss is a precision digital scale designed for household use. It features a sleek glass surface and a clear digital display. The scale is powered by a CR2032 battery.

Getting Started

Before first use, remove the plastic insulation strip from the battery compartment located on the underside of the scale. Ensure the scale is placed on a flat, horizontal surface for accurate readings.

Operation

• Switching On: Press the ON/OFF/TARE key. The display will show 8888, followed by zero, indicating it is ready for use.
• Weighing: Place the item on the scale after the display shows zero.
• Tare Function: To weigh items in a container, place the empty container on the scale and press the ON/OFF/TARE key to reset the display to zero. Then, add the item to be weighed. The display will show only the net weight.
• Switching Units: With the scale turned on, press the UNIT key to cycle between grams (g), pounds (lb), ounces (oz), and milliliters (ml).
• Switching Off: Press and hold the ON/OFF/TARE key until the display turns off. The scale also features an automatic shut-off after approximately 1.5 minutes of inactivity.

Troubleshooting and Special Symbols

• unSt: The scale is not on a steady surface.
• EEEE: The weight exceeds the maximum capacity of the scale.
• Lo: The battery is low and needs to be replaced.

Safety and Maintenance

The scale is not legal for trade. Extreme electromagnetic interference (e.g., radio transmitters nearby) may affect the displayed values; the scale will return to normal operation once the interference ceases. Do not dispose of the scale or batteries in household waste; follow local regulations for electronic waste and battery recycling.
