Quick Installation Guide

This document provides installation instructions for the Rugged Ridge fold and tumble seat, specifically designed for 1997-2002 Jeep TJ vehicles. The process involves installing front seat support brackets and the rear seat lock mechanism.

Front Seat Brackets

Follow these steps to install the front seat support brackets:

1. Remove the seat mounting bolts from the left and right side of the front floor, located behind the front seat risers. Do not mount the bracket to the floor yet.
2. Install the front seat support brackets to the fold and tumble seat. Ensure the bracket cutout faces away from the seat and the floor mounting tabs point towards each other, away from the fender.
3. Install the front seat brackets through the seat mounting tabs.
4. Insert the plastic bushing, followed by the bracket and the C-clip to secure the bracket to the seat.
5. Align the mounting bracket over the holes in the floor and securely tighten the seat mounting bolts.

Rear Seat Lock

Follow these steps to install the rear seat lock:

1. Remove the seat belt anchor bolt from the floor.
2. Position the lock underneath the seat belt and eyelets. Note that multiple holes are provided to align the bracket with the floor mounting hole and seat lock.
3. If desired, an additional hole can be drilled and the bracket secured with two bolts. It is recommended to use a Grade 5 or higher bolt and a large washer (supplied by the customer).
4. Reinstall the seat belt anchor bolt through the seat belt eyelets and the seat lock. Do not tighten yet.
5. Align the seat lock with the striker so that the seat locks when pushed down into position.
6. Tighten the seat belt anchor bolt.
