Care and Maintenance

Cleaning the filter

  1. Remove the lid.
  2. Press the tab on the back of the filter using your index finger.
  3. Lift or tip the filter out of the kettle.
  4. Rinse the filter under a running tap while brushing with a soft brush.
  5. Fit the bottom of the filter onto the rim of the bottom of the spout.
  6. Press the filter into the spout from inside the kettle until it clicks.
  7. Refit the lid.

Descaling

Descale the kettle regularly, at least monthly, using a proprietary descaler. Follow the instructions provided with the descaler. Failure to descale may result in repair charges if faults occur due to scale buildup.

Boil Dry Protection

If the kettle boils dry, a safety cut-out device will automatically switch it off. If this happens, unplug the kettle and allow it to cool down until the cut-out resets itself. Avoid boiling dry, as it shortens the life of the heating element.
