Introduction to Rusta Code of Conduct
The Rusta Code of Conduct (CoC) establishes the mandatory ethical, social, and environmental standards for all suppliers, partners, agents, and factories doing business with Rusta AB. Compliance with this document is a pre-condition for sustainable growth and partnership.
The Eight Basic Requirements
To become or remain a supplier, the following eight non-negotiable requirements must be fulfilled:
- Health and Safety: Critical hazards must be prevented.
- No Child Labour: Compliance with national minimum age laws or age of completion of compulsory education (minimum 15 years old).
- Voluntary Labour: All work must be voluntary; forced or bonded labour is strictly prohibited.
- Environmental Protection: Critical environmental hazards must be prevented.
- Business Ethics: Good business ethics must be practiced; zero-tolerance for bribery and corruption.
- Employment Contracts: All employees must have a formal employment contract.
- Fair Wages: Wages must equal or exceed the legal minimum level.
- Basic Facilities: Access to fresh drinking water and toilets must be provided.
Compliance and Monitoring
Rusta monitors compliance through evaluations and audits. Suppliers are required to perform a self-evaluation using the CoC Evaluation form. Rusta reserves the right to visit and evaluate factories unannounced. Performance is rated, and the rating determines the business impact, ranging from encouragement of new business for high performers to termination of collaboration for unacceptable performance.

Reporting Deviations
Rusta encourages supplier co-workers to report any deviations from the Code of Conduct. Reports can be made via the external reporting channel at https://report.whistleb.com/rusta or by scanning the provided QR code in the document.
