This manual provides instructions for the Scheppach Compact 15t log splitter. Always ensure the machine is fully assembled before use and operate it only outdoors.

Device Description
The log splitter consists of a splitting column, a splitting wedge, a hydraulic oil tank, and a motor. It features a trunk lifter for easier handling of long logs.
Assembly
Due to the weight, assembly should be performed by at least two people. Follow the diagrams in figures 3 through 11 to assemble the operating arms, retaining claws, transport wheels, and trunk lifter.
Operation
Ensure the log is placed centrally on the base plate or swivel table. Use the two-hand control levers to operate the splitting wedge. Always keep hands away from the splitting area.
Maintenance
Regularly check the oil level and hydraulic connections. Change the hydraulic oil after 50 hours of operation, then every 500 hours. Keep the splitting column clean and lubricated.

Troubleshooting
If the motor stops, the overvoltage protection may have been triggered. If the log is not split, check the log position or sharpen the wedge. If the hydraulic pump whistles, check the oil level.
Technical Data
The log splitter has a maximum splitting force of 15 tons and is designed for logs between 75 cm and 107 cm in length and 12 cm to 45 cm in diameter.
Safety
Only one person may operate the machine. Keep a 5-meter safety radius. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety goggles, gloves, and safety shoes.
