Description of the device
The GPH 18-EC is a 18V power head designed for commercial use in industry and trade. It is compatible with the GLT 35 line trimmer attachment. Key features include a variable-speed trigger, speed mode switch, and an adjustable front-assist handle.
Assembly and Installation
Installing the attachment
- Stop the motor and remove the battery pack.
- Loosen the wing knob on the coupler.
- Align the spring-loaded pin on the attachment with the groove on the coupler and push the attachment shaft into the power head shaft until it clicks into place.
- Tighten the wing knob securely.
Mounting the front-assist handle
- Remove the screw knob and lock lever from the handle.
- Mount the handle on the shaft.
- Insert the lock lever and tighten the screw knob.
- Lower the lock lever to secure the handle.
Operation
Starting and stopping
- To start, push the lock-off button to the left or right, then depress the variable-speed trigger switch.
- Release the trigger switch to stop the motor.
Speed modes
- Use the speed-selector switch to choose between position '1' (low speed) and '2' (high speed). Note that high-speed mode reduces runtime.
Maintenance and Care
- Always remove the battery pack before performing any maintenance.
- Regularly clean the power tool and ventilation slots with dry compressed air.
- Repairs should only be carried out by an authorized customer service center.
- Lubricate the transmission gears in the gear case (N-2) periodically with gear grease. Check the grease level every 50 hours of operation.
Safety and Disposal
Always wear eye, ear, and head protection. Do not operate the machine in bad weather, especially during lightning. Dispose of the tool and battery in an environmentally friendly manner according to local regulations. Do not throw electric power tools or batteries into household waste.

Common problems
Trimmer vibrates abnormally
Stop the motor immediately and check for the cause. A loose head may vibrate, crack, or break.
Cutting line does not feed
Tap the bump head on the ground while the trimmer is running. If line release is difficult, the line may be too short.
Battery does not fit
Ensure the raised rib on the battery pack aligns with the grooves in the power head housing.

- Check for damaged or worn parts.
- Ensure the guard is properly installed.
