Before using your Sharper Image Refresh 01X Rechargeable Fan for the first time, it must be fully charged. The fan is designed for indoor use only. Always monitor the indicator light to determine the battery status: solid green means fully charged, fading green indicates charging above 70%, fading red indicates charging with low battery, and flashing red means the battery is critically low and requires immediate charging.

Product Overview

The package includes the fan body, carry strap, and a micro USB cable with an AC adaptor. The main controls are located on the fan body, including the power/speed button and the indicator light.

Getting Started

To prepare the fan for use:

1. Remove the product from all packaging.
2. Insert the micro USB plug into the micro USB input on the fan.
3. Connect the AC adaptor to a power source. Use only the provided Refresh 01X AC adaptor.

How to Use

The fan features a single control button for power and speed adjustment:

• Power On/Off: Press the power button to turn the unit on and off.
• Speed Settings: Press the button repeatedly to cycle through Low, Medium, and High speeds.

Warning: Do not hang the product.

Cleaning

Regular cleaning is required to maintain performance. The fan has no user-serviceable parts and cannot be opened.

1. Power off and unplug the unit before cleaning.
2. Dust or wipe the fan with a damp cloth.
3. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove accumulated dust.

Do not use gasoline, thinners, solvents, or ammonia for cleaning.

Storage

For off-season storage:

1. Charge the battery to 70% (fading green LED).
2. Unplug the unit and bundle the cord loosely.
3. Cover the fan or place it back in the retail carton to prevent dust accumulation.
4. Store in a cool, dry indoor location, ideally between 60-90°F (16-32°C).

Caution: Do not store or use in extreme temperatures below -4°F (-20°C) or above 140°F (60°C).

Troubleshooting

If the unit fails to power on, ensure it is plugged in, the speed setting is selected, and the outlet is functional. If the fan is hot to the touch or bulging, cease use immediately and contact consumer service, as the lithium battery may be damaged. For weak airflow, ensure the fan is set to the highest speed and that there are no obstructions.

Safety and Disposal

This product contains an integral, non-removable lithium battery. Do not incinerate, even if damaged, as batteries can explode. Do not dispose of the unit in normal household waste; follow local electronics recycling regulations. Do not use the fan near water, in bathrooms, or outdoors. Keep away from heat sources like furnaces or stoves.
