Quick guide from the manual
The Shelly 1 12V is a smart relay switch designed to control electrical appliances. This guide provides essential information for safe installation and operation. Always ensure the power is disconnected before performing any wiring. The device must be installed in a wall box or similar enclosure that meets local safety standards.
Device Description
The Shelly 1 12V allows for remote control of electrical appliances via Wi-Fi. It features an embedded web interface for configuration and can be integrated into home automation systems. It supports various power supply voltages, including 110-240V AC, 24-48V DC, and 12V DC.
Installation and Wiring
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure that the device is connected according to the provided diagrams:
- 110-240V AC: Connect L to the live wire, N to the neutral wire, and the switch to the SW terminal.
- 24-48V DC: Connect the positive terminal to the + input and the negative to the GND terminal.
- 12V DC: Connect the 12V+ source to the 12V+ terminal and the ground to the GND terminal.
Always use solid single-core wires or stranded wires with ferrules. The wires should have insulation with increased heat resistance, not less than PVC T105°C.
First Setup
Once powered, the device creates its own Wi-Fi access point. You can connect to it using a smartphone or computer to access the web interface at 192.168.33.1. From there, you can configure the device to connect to your local Wi-Fi network or integrate it with the Shelly Cloud app for remote control.
Safety and Maintenance
Do not expose the device to moisture or liquids. Keep the device away from children. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. If the device is damaged, disconnect it from the power supply immediately.
