This guide provides instructions for the safe disassembly of Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP electronic modules at the end of their service life. It is intended for trained electronics recycling professionals to facilitate resource recovery and material recycling. Disassembly instructions



- If present, remove the electronic coding element. In the case of mechanical coding, the circuit board is not included.
- Remove the cover of the electronic coding element using a slotted screwdriver.
- Pull out the printed circuit board.
- Remove the front cover by pressing into the snap locks with a slotted screwdriver.
- Pull out the printed circuit board(s). Note that there may be one or two boards, and the housing may be yellow or gray.

The module consists of several parts, including the front cover, housing, and printed circuit boards. Materials include thermoplastics and electronics. These components must be separated to ensure correct recycling channels.

Environmental compliance
In accordance with Directive 2012/19/EU, specific substances must be removed from the product, including printed circuit boards with a surface area greater than 10 cm² and plastics containing brominated flame-retardants.
