Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury, observe the following precautions:
- Turn off power before beginning any installation.
- GFCI Protection: The circuit or outlet used for this luminaire must have Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection.
- Extension Cords: Use only extension cords rated for outdoor use with a three-prong grounding plug and receptacle. Compatible cord types include SW, SW-A, SOW, SOW-A, STW, STW-A, STOW, STOW-A, SJW, SJW-A, SJOW, SJOW-A, SJTW, SJTW-A, or SJTOW, SJTOW-A.
- Plug Connection: Never use the lamp with an extension cord or outlet unless the plug can be fully inserted.
Installation
- Ensure the power is turned off.
- Carefully insert the spike into the ground vertically.
- The spike should be inserted deep enough so that the flat top of the spike is level with the ground.
- Plug the power cord into a grounded, three-pronged GFCI outlet or a compatible outdoor extension cord.
Adjusting Lamp Position
- Loosen the knob located on the lamp.
- Adjust the lamp to the desired position using vertical movements.
- Tighten the knob to lock the lamp in the selected position.
