This document provides instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of the Daphne Sleeper Sofa. The sofa is designed for home use and should be assembled by two adults on a flat, level surface. The sleeper mechanism allows for conversion between a standard sofa and a chaise configuration.

Safety Information

• Assembly: Adult assembly is required. We recommend a team of two for handling and assembly.
• Tools: Do not use power tools to assemble the furniture, as they may strip or damage parts.
• Usage: This product is designed to hold two or three average adults. Exceeding this limit may cause injury or damage.
• Environment: Use only on a flat, level surface. Not intended for commercial use.
• Small Parts: Keep small parts away from children during assembly to prevent choking hazards.

Assembly

Before starting, ensure you have all parts and hardware. It is recommended to place parts on a clean cloth to prevent damage.

Back Cushion Placement

1. Locate the Sofa Body (Part A) and the three Back Cushions (Part B).
2. Place the back cushions (Part B) onto the Sofa Body (Part A) as shown in the assembly diagram.

Operating the Sleeper Sofa

The sofa can be converted into a chaise position and back to a sofa position.

Converting to Chaise

1. Insert the skirt edge between the arm and the seat cushion.
2. Slowly pull out the extended seat.
3. Gently pull out the extended cushion to complete the chaise setup.

Converting back to Sofa

1. Lift and release the extended seat cushion, then push it in under the sofa.
2. Put back the decorative skirt into its original position.

Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning: Dust frequently with a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Regularly vacuum with low suction to remove dust and debris.
• Spot Cleaning: Treat spills immediately. Scrape off dirt or mop liquid. Apply cleaning agents to a cloth first, not directly to the fabric. Use a water-based upholstery cleaner and pat dry.
• Protection: Avoid placing the sofa near heating vents or items to prevent moisture buildup and burn marks. Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fabric fading.
• Pilling: If pilling occurs, use a battery-operated pilling tool to remove them.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following solutions:

• Cannot operate the extended seat: The skirt may be stuck between the seat and the extension. Carefully take out the skirt and try again.
• Hard to pull out the extended seat: There may be a foreign object stuck on the wheel. Clean the wheel.
• Skirt is flared out: This is likely due to wrinkles. Use a steam iron to smooth the fabric.
