The Thomann The Box Pro Achat 112M is a passive 2-way full-range speaker designed for sound reinforcement. Before operation, inspect the unit for any transport damage. Always use high-quality cables for connections. Ensure the amplifier's impedance and power handling match the speaker's requirements to avoid distortion or permanent damage. If you hear distortion, reduce the volume immediately.

Safety instructions

Intended use: This device is for sound reinforcement only. Improper use may result in injury or property damage.

• Mounting: Faulty mounting can lead to lethal injuries. Only trained staff should mount speakers. Always secure the device with a secondary safety attachment, such as a safety cable or chain.
• Hearing damage: The device can produce high volume levels. Keep a safe distance or use ear protection if necessary.
• Operating conditions: Indoor use only. Avoid moisture, direct sunlight, heavy dirt, and strong vibrations. Do not switch the device on immediately after exposure to temperature fluctuations.
• Staining: The rubber feet may react with certain floor coatings (parquet, linoleum, laminate, PVC). Use felt-pad protectors or a carpet if in doubt.

Installation

The speaker features flying tracks on top and an eye on the back for tilting. A 36mm pole flange is located on the bottom for stand mounting.

• Hanging: Use built-in Aeroquip or fly tracks. Safety eyelets (double studs) can be screwed or latched into these tracks. Ensure the connection is secure before use. The additional loop on the back is for tilting and must not be the sole support for the suspended weight.
• Stands: When using a stand, ensure it is stable and the weight of the speaker does not exceed the stand's maximum load capacity.

Connections

The speaker uses NL4 sockets (Power Twist). There are two NL4 connections wired in parallel on the rear panel, plus one additional connection on the top and one on the bottom of the housing. Always create connections while the device is switched off.
