The Weber Lumin electric grill is designed for versatile outdoor cooking. Before first use, perform an initial burn-off by heating the grill on the highest setting with the lid closed for at least 20 minutes. Always preheat the grill on the high setting for 15-20 minutes (until it reaches 500°F/260°C) before cooking to ensure proper searing and prevent food from sticking.
Safety Information
- Outdoor Use Only: Do not use in garages, buildings, tents, or enclosed areas.
- Clearance: Keep the grill at least 24 inches (61 cm) away from combustible materials.
- Water Safety: Do not use within 10 feet (3 m) of pools, ponds, or other bodies of water.
- Electrical: Use only properly grounded outlets. Do not use damaged cords. If using an extension cord, it must be 16 AWG, rated for 125V/13A, and marked for outdoor use.
- Grease Fires: If a grease fire occurs, close the lid and unplug the grill. Do not use liquid to extinguish flames.

Operation
The grill features a 5-in-1 versatility system:

- Smoke Infusion: Use the reservoir with wood chips (no water) and the reversible steam pan.
- Food Warming: Use the reservoir with water and an oven-safe dish on the steam pan.
- Grill from Frozen: Use the reservoir with 1 cup of water and the steam pan to defrost before grilling.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning is essential for performance:

- Cooking Grates: Brush with a stainless steel bristle grill brush after preheating. Grates are dishwasher safe.
- Inside the Grill: Use a plastic scraper to remove carbonized grease from the lid and bowl liner.
- Temperature Controller: Wipe with a damp microfiber cloth. Do not immerse in water.
- Grease Management: Check the slide-out catch pan before every use and replace the disposable drip pan as needed.
Troubleshooting
If the grill does not turn on:
- Ensure the temperature controller is properly inserted into the housing.
- Check the circuit breaker; if it has tripped, unplug other high-wattage devices on the same circuit.
- If the current limiting circuit has tripped, unplug the power cable, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back in to reset.
