The Ooni Karu 12G is a multi-fuel pizza oven designed for outdoor use only. Never use the oven in confined or habitable spaces such as houses, tents, caravans, or boats due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Always place the oven on a flat, stable, and non-flammable surface.

Assembly
Refer to the assembly diagrams on pages 1 and 2 of the manual. Ensure the draft plate is fully secured to the oven before use. The product contains a strong magnet; keep away from children.



Lighting Instructions
The Ooni Karu 12G uses wood or charcoal. Only use charcoal suitable for cooking. Do not cook until the fuel has a coating of ash. When using wood, use dry, untreated hardwood pieces (max 15cm long and 4cm in diameter). Add no more than 0.4kg of fuel at one time and ensure there is no more than 0.5kg in the tray at any time.
Extinguishing
Let the fire burn down naturally and allow the oven to cool completely. Do not remove ashes until the oven has cooled down entirely. Ensure all embers are extinguished before storing.
Safety Warnings
- The oven becomes extremely hot during operation.
- Do not move the oven while in use.
- Keep children and pets away.
- Do not use spirit or petrol for lighting or re-lighting. Use only firelighters complying with EN 1860-3.
- Do not use the chimney cap when the oven is lit.
- Do not remove the door while the oven is lit.
- Handle with care as there may be sharp edges on the interior and exterior.
- Allow the oven to fully cool down after use; some areas may remain hot even if the body feels cool.
