This digital thermometer features a wired sensor for remote temperature monitoring. To get started, remove the protective film from the LCD screen, install two AAA alkaline batteries, and place the sensor outside while keeping the display unit in a dry, indoor location. You can toggle between manual and auto-cycle modes using the SELECT button on the back of the device.

Setup

Installing Batteries: Slide off the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit. Insert 2 x AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring you follow the polarity (+/-) diagram inside the compartment. Replace the cover.

Selecting Temperature Units: To switch between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C), press and release the °F/°C button located on the back of the display.

Placement Guidelines

Display Placement: Place the display in a dry area free of dirt and dust. It can be used on a tabletop or mounted on a wall.

Sensor Placement: To measure outdoor temperatures, place the wired sensor outside. Use the adhesive pad or the integrated hang hole to secure it. Ensure the sensor is placed out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources or vents. Note that the wired sensor is not waterproof; do not submerge it in liquid for more than 30 seconds.

Operation

Display Modes: The unit operates in two modes:

  • Manual Mode: The default mode. Press the SELECT button to manually cycle through temperature and humidity readings.
  • Auto-Cycle Mode: The display automatically toggles between temperature and humidity. To enter this mode, press and release the SELECT button until the auto-cycle icon appears on the screen. Press again to exit.

If you encounter issues, check the following:

  • Inaccurate temperature: Ensure both the display and the wired sensor are placed away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or vents.
  • Display screen not working: Check that the batteries are installed correctly or replace them with fresh ones.
