This guide covers the setup of the AcuRite 06103M display. To begin, ensure you have the display, the power adapter, and the AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) sensor. Note that the Wi-Fi setup page is only accessible for 30 minutes after the display is powered on; you can press the set button at any time to reactivate this mode.

Device setup and configuration

Plug in the power adapter to turn on the display. Configuration starts automatically. Use the Up and Down buttons to navigate options and the set button to confirm your choices. You can configure the following settings:

  • 12 or 24 Hour Clock Display
  • Clock Hour and Minute
  • Calendar Month, Date, and Year
  • Temperature Units (F / C)
  • Wind Speed Units (mph, km/h, knots)

  • Pressure Units (inHg / hPa)

You can adjust these settings at any time by pressing the set button.

Sensor installation

To install the outdoor sensor:

  1. Open the battery compartment on the outdoor sensor.
  2. Install four AA alkaline or lithium batteries.
  3. Ensure the A-B-C switch inside the battery compartment matches the selection on the display (default is A).
  4. Mount the sensor at least 5 feet (1.5 meters) off the ground.
  5. Ensure the front solar cell is facing south.
  6. Keep the sensor away from heat and humidity sources.
  7. Use the bubble level on top of the sensor to ensure it is level for accurate rain reporting.
  8. Remove and discard the rain gauge stabilizer from the sensor after mounting.

The display should automatically sync with the sensor and start showing readings within a minute.

Wi-Fi and remote monitoring

To connect your display to Wi-Fi for remote monitoring:

  1. Connect to the Wi-Fi signal broadcast by your Display using your phone or Wi-Fi-compatible device.
  2. Open a web browser and type 192.168.4.1 in the address bar to access the AcuRite Wi-Fi display settings website.
  3. Select your Wi-Fi network name, enter your password, and press Save.
  4. Reconnect your device to your normal Wi-Fi network.
  5. Download the My AcuRite mobile app or visit www.myacurite.com to complete the account setup. You will need the device ID located on the back of the display or inside the battery compartment.

Additional notes

It is strongly recommended to install 3 AAA backup batteries in the display to retain Wi-Fi configuration details in case of power loss. The display can be power cycled at any time to clear existing Wi-Fi credentials.
