Before using your Adler AD 1246 electric kettle for the first time, fill it with water to the MAX level, boil it, and pour it out. Repeat this process three times to remove any factory odor. Always ensure the kettle is placed on a flat, heat-resistant surface and that the heating element is fully immersed in water before switching it on. Never leave the kettle unattended while in use and ensure the lid is closed during the boiling process for the automatic shut-off to function correctly.

Description of the device
The kettle consists of the following main components: housing, ON/OFF switch, indicator lamp, rotating base, lid, handle, and lid unlock button.

Usage
To use the kettle, fill it with fresh water between the MIN and MAX levels. Place the kettle on the provided base, plug it into a 220-240V ~50/60Hz outlet, and press the ON/OFF switch. The indicator lamp will light up. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water has boiled. If you wish to switch it off manually before boiling, press the ON/OFF switch again.
Safety instructions
- Never switch on the kettle without water.
- Do not open the lid while the water is boiling or immediately after, as escaping steam can cause burns.
- Always use the handle to move the kettle.
- Do not fill above the MAX level or below the MIN level.
- Keep the kettle away from children and do not allow them to play with it.
- If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may spurt out.
- Use only with the provided base.
Cleaning and maintenance
Regularly descale the kettle to prevent damage to the heating element and ensure longevity. Use appropriate descaling agents available in stores. Do not use aggressive detergents on the housing. The base should not be washed directly in water; wipe it with a dry cloth.
