Quick guide from the manual

This document provides essential operating instructions for the Amewi 1300L Unimog RC truck. Key requirements include using the provided 7.4V Li-Ion battery for the vehicle and three 1.5V AA batteries for the remote control. The model is intended for users aged 14 and older and must be operated on flat, clean surfaces. Avoid use in rain, snow, or near water, crowds, and radio interference sources.

Battery charging and installation

The vehicle battery is charged via the included USB cable. Connect the cable to a USB power source (PC, laptop, power bank, or smartphone adapter). The red LED indicates charging is in progress; the green LED indicates charging is complete. The battery compartment is located under the engine hood. Ensure cables are not pinched when closing the hood.

Remote control setup

To install batteries in the remote control, open the compartment on the bottom, insert three 1.5V AA batteries observing correct polarity, and close the cover. If the vehicle does not drive straight, use the steering trim potentiometer to adjust the wheels.

Operation and binding

Switch on the remote control first, then the vehicle electronics (switch located at the rear under the loading area). The status LED will flash while binding; once it lights up continuously, the connection is established. Do not touch the steering wheel or throttle during this process. The throttle is proportional: pulling the trigger moves the vehicle forward, pushing it moves it backward.

Maintenance

After each use, check that all screws and nuts are tight. Clean the drive from dust and dirt and apply dry lubricant to drive parts occasionally. For long-term storage, remove batteries from the remote control and charge the vehicle battery to 50-60%. Check the battery voltage every three months.

Troubleshooting

  • Vehicle does not respond: Check battery power, ensure batteries are inserted correctly, and verify that both the remote and vehicle are switched on.
  • Vehicle moves slowly: Battery is empty or the vehicle is out of range.
  • Headlights flash slowly: Battery is empty or transmitter and receiver are not bound.
  • Headlights flash quickly: Overload protection triggered; release the throttle and resume operation.
