The BEGA 24913K3 is a high-protection ceiling and wall luminaire designed for both interior and exterior use. Important: Installation and commissioning must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with national safety regulations. Ensure the desiccant pouch is inserted during installation to guarantee maximum service life.
Product Description
This luminaire is constructed from die-cast aluminum and stainless steel with BEGA Unidure coating. It features a BEGA NeoGlass impact-resistant synthetic diffuser. The unit is dust-tight and protected against water jets (IP 65).
Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation:
- Undo the screws and remove the luminaire top and polycarbonate diffuser with the gasket.
- Lead the mains supply cable through the cable entry of the luminaire base.
- For wall installation, ensure the luminaire is positioned with the "arrow down" mark.
- Fix the luminaire base to the mounting surface using the provided or suitable fixing material. Ensure the gasket rings are used.
- Make the earth conductor connection and the electrical connection.
- Crucial: Remove the desiccant pouch from its foil packaging and place it in the position marked by the red information label immediately before closing the luminaire.
- Ensure the gasket is positioned correctly, then reattach the polycarbonate diffuser and luminaire top. Tighten the screws evenly.
Maintenance
Clean the luminaire regularly with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth that is kept damp. Use water with a little commercial dishwashing detergent if necessary. For lacquered surfaces, the BEGA Lacquer Care Set 71 179 is recommended. Do not use cleaning agents containing solvents or high-pressure cleaners.
Replacing the LED Module
The LED module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools. Disconnect the system from the power supply before opening the luminaire. Follow the installation instructions provided with the LED module. Inspect and replace gaskets if necessary. A defective glass cover must be replaced.
