Quick guide from the manual
The Behringer HM300 is a high-performance distortion effects pedal designed for hard rock and heavy metal sounds. It features tube-like distortion and adjustable sustain. Note that the pedal has no dedicated on/off switch; it activates automatically when a cable is inserted into the IN connector. To preserve battery life, always disconnect the input cable when the pedal is not in use.
Controls
- LEVEL: Adjusts the overall output volume.
- LOW: Boosts or cuts the low-frequency range.
- MID: Boosts or cuts the mid-frequency range.
- DIST: Controls the amount of distortion and the length of the sustain. Higher settings result in longer sustain.
- ON/BATT LED: Indicates when the effect is active and serves as a battery level indicator.
- Footswitch: Toggles the effect on and off.
Connections and Power
The pedal features a 1/4" TS IN connector for your instrument and a 1/4" TS OUT connector for your amplifier. It can be powered by a 9V battery or an external 9V DC power supply (not included). The power connector is a 2mm DC jack with a negative center.
Battery Installation
The battery compartment is located under the pedal cover. To install or replace the 9V battery: 1. Press the hinges on the pedal cover with a ballpoint pen. 2. Remove the cover carefully to avoid scratching the unit. 3. Insert the battery and replace the cover.
Safety and Maintenance
Do not use the device near water or heat sources. Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself; contact qualified service personnel if the power cord or plug is damaged. Use only authorized accessories.
