Quick Guide: Alert Service Bulletin 206L-26-192
This bulletin mandates a one-time inspection of specific main rotor and drive system component bearings on Bell 206L series helicopters. The inspection is required to ensure that the correct number of roller elements are installed in the bearings, as some units may have been manufactured with missing elements.
Compliance Requirements:
- Part I (Main Rotor Hub): Perform inspection at the next opportunity, not to exceed 1200 flight hours or 48 months from February 17, 2026.
- Part II (Drive System): Perform inspection at the next scheduled overhaul of the affected components.
Inspection Procedures
Part I - Main Rotor Hub Assembly:

Inspect suspect bearings for the correct number of roller elements as listed in the reference tables. This should be done in conjunction with the next replacement of the main rotor hub assembly tension-torsion straps or at the next access to the bearings.
Part II - Drive System Components:
Inspect suspect bearings for the correct number of roller elements as listed in the reference tables. This should be done in conjunction with the next component overhaul.
Reporting Non-Conforming Bearings
If a bearing is found with missing roller elements, you must contact Bell Product Support Engineering immediately.
- Email: [email protected]
- Required Information: Include the helicopter serial number, ASB number (206L-26-192), total time in service of the helicopter, part number and serial number of the assembly, and total time in service of the non-conforming bearing.
Once a disposition is provided and maintenance is complete, make an entry in the helicopter logbook and historical service records indicating compliance.

Common problems
Contact Bell Product Support Engineering at [email protected] with the required helicopter and component details.
Before use
- Verify if the helicopter serial number falls within the affected range (45001-45153, 46601-46617, 45154-45790, 51001-51612, 52001-52496).
- Check if the bearing was delivered between March 2022 and January 2025.
- Identify the specific part number of the bearing and the next higher assembly.
- Ensure compliance with Part I (Main Rotor) within 1200 flight hours or 48 months.
- Ensure compliance with Part II (Drive System) at the next scheduled overhaul.

Specs in practice
- Roller Element Count
- The specific number of rollers required in the bearing. If the count is lower, the bearing is non-conforming.
Model compatibility
- Applicable to Bell 206L, 206L-1, 206L-3, and 206L-4 models.
- Bearings or assemblies delivered after the specified dates (Jan 2025 for bearings, Nov 2025 for assemblies) are not affected.
