The Bissell Adapt Ion XRT is a 2-in-1 cordless vacuum designed for household use. Before first use, ensure the unit is charged for 8 hours. The vacuum features a 2-way folding handle for easy storage and cleaning under low furniture, and a detachable hand vacuum for versatile cleaning.
Assembly
The vacuum comes in three components and requires no tools for assembly:

- Insert the foot into the body of the vacuum until you hear a click.
- Plug the charging adapter into the port located under the base.
Charging
To charge the unit:

- Ensure the charger adapter is plugged properly into the port on the base.
- Plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
- Lift and place the cordless vacuum onto the charging base.
- Charge the unit completely for 8 hours prior to first use.
Operation

Control Buttons
- Power Icon: Turns the unit ON/OFF.
- Brush Icon: Turns the Motorized Brush Roll ON/OFF.
- -/+ Icon: Adjusts Brush Speed (LO/HI).
2-Way Folding Handle
Locate the release trigger under the handle to fold it forward for cleaning under low places or backward for easy storage.
Hand Vacuum
Press the button on top of the hand vacuum handle to detach it from the main machine. Insert desired tools (Crevice Tool, Upholstery Tool, Dusting Brush) firmly into the nozzle.
Maintenance


Emptying the Dirt Tank
- Ensure the vacuum is OFF.
- Remove the hand vacuum.
- Hold vertically and press the release button on the front to release the dirt tank.
- Grasp filter tabs, pull up to remove the filter assembly, and empty the dirt into a waste container.
Cleaning the Filters
- Remove the dirt tank and filter assembly.
- Grip the filter assembly, turn counter-clockwise, and lift to remove the filter from the screen.
- Tap the filter firmly against the inside of a waste container to remove dirt.
- Rinse the filter and screen in warm water if necessary. Ensure they are 100% dry before reuse.
Maintaining the Brush Roll
- Turn the vacuum foot over and use a coin to turn the Brush Roll Cover Tab counter-clockwise to unlock.
- Remove the brush roll and clear away hair or debris.
- Once clean, place the brush roll back into the foot and use a coin to turn the lock clockwise to secure it.
Troubleshooting
If the vacuum won't turn on, ensure the battery is fully charged and the correct charger is being used. If the brush roll stops spinning, the LED light will turn solid red; clear the obstruction and reset by turning the vacuum ON. For low suction, empty the dirt tank, clean the filters, or check for clogs in the foot area.
