The BISSELL CrossWave Pet 2225F is designed for cleaning hard floors and area rugs. Before first use, ensure the handle is clicked into place and the clean water tank is filled with warm water (max 60°C) and the appropriate BISSELL formula. Always use the machine on a properly grounded outlet.

Assembly
The unit requires minimal assembly:

- Insert the handle into the body until it clicks.
- Align the Clean Water Tank with the grooves on the back and slide it into place until it clicks.
- Wrap the cable around the cable wraps.
Filling the Clean Water Tank
The tank has two fill lines for different area sizes:
- Large area (up to 65 sq m): Fill water to the second line, then add formula to the second line.
- Small area (<32.5 sq m): Fill water to the first line, then add formula to the first line.
Note: Use warm tap water (max 60°C). Do not use boiling water or heat in a microwave.
Cleaning Modes
Select the mode using the buttons on the handle:
- Hard Floor: Press the HARD FLOOR button. The dry vacuum turns on.
- Area Rug: Press the RUG button. This dispenses twice the solution compared to the Hard Floor mode.
To start the brush roll, recline the machine. Hold the Solution Spray Trigger to apply solution during passes.
Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance is essential for performance:
- Rinse and Storage Tray: Place the unit on the tray, fill the rinse cup with water, pour into the rinse funnel, and run the machine for 10-15 seconds.
- Emptying Dirty Water Tank: Press the button on top of the tank to release it. Remove the top, empty the dirty water, and clean the filter and float stack.
- Cleaning Brush Roll: Remove the brush window, pull out the brush roll, and rinse with warm water. Let all parts dry completely before reassembling.
