The boAt AAVANTE 2.1 1650 is a 160W RMS soundbar system with a wireless subwoofer. This guide helps you set up the device, connect your audio sources, and troubleshoot common issues. Ensure you have all components: soundbar, wireless subwoofer, remote control, power cables, AUX cable, and wall mount kit.
Safety and warnings
- Do not dismantle the product or expose it to rain, moisture, or direct heat.
- Ensure the power supply voltage matches the unit's requirements (110-240V).
- Keep at least 20 cm of space above and 5 cm on each side of the unit for ventilation.
- Do not place the unit near strong magnetic fields or water sources.
- Use only original or certified cables.
Installation
Free standing
Place the soundbar horizontally on a flat surface, such as a TV unit or shelf, and align it centrally with the TV screen. Ensure there is space between the soundbar and the wall. Do not place it inside a closed cabinet.
Wall mounting
- Choose a location centered under your TV at ear level.
- Drill two holes in the wall aligning with the mounting points.
- Insert plastic wall plugs into the holes.
- Align the metal brackets with the holes and fix them to the wall using the provided screws.
- Hang the soundbar on the metal wall bracket hooks and slide it until secure.
Wireless subwoofer connection
The subwoofer and soundbar pair automatically. Connect both to power and switch them on. The LED will blink rapidly in blue while pairing and turn solid blue once connected. If pairing fails, short press the Reset button on the subwoofer to disconnect, and double press it to retry pairing.
Controls and connections
The soundbar features a control panel with buttons for Power, Mode (M), Play/Pause, and Volume (+/-). The rear panel includes ports for USB, HDMI (ARC), Optical, AUX, and Power Input.
Remote control overview
The remote allows full control, including:
- Input: Switch between Bluetooth, HDMI(ARC), Optical, AUX, and USB.
- EQ Effects: Dedicated buttons for Music, Movie, News, and 3D.
- Audio Adjustment: Volume, Treble (TR+/-), and Bass (BAS+/-) controls.
- Reset: Press and hold the Reset/Play-Pause button for over 2 seconds to clear Bluetooth history and reset to default settings.
Input modes
- Bluetooth: Select Bluetooth mode, search for "Aavante 2.1 1650" on your device, and pair.
- USB: Insert a USB drive containing MP3 files. The unit switches automatically.
- AUX: Connect via 3.5mm cable to the AUX port.
- Optical: Connect via optical cable. Ensure the TV output is set to PCM Stereo or 2.0.
- HDMI (ARC): Connect via high-speed HDMI cable. Ensure the TV supports HDMI-CEC and ARC, and set the TV audio output to PCM.

Common problems
Subwoofer not pairing
Ensure both units are powered on. If pairing fails, double-press the Reset button on the subwoofer to retry.
No sound in HDMI/Optical mode
Ensure the TV audio output is set to PCM Stereo or 2.0 in the TV settings.
Bluetooth connectivity issues
Ensure the device is within 8 meters and has a clear line of sight. Remove the soundbar from the device's Bluetooth history and re-pair.
Before use
- Check for all components: Soundbar, Subwoofer, Remote, Cables, Wall Mount Kit.
- Ensure power supply matches local voltage (110-240V).
- Remove all packing materials and stickers.
- Install two AAA batteries in the remote control.
- Place the soundbar on a stable, flat surface or mount it securely.
