Quick guide from the manual

This cordless chainsaw is designed for domestic use, specifically for sawing wood such as branches, planks, and wooden beams at ground level. It is not suitable for felling trees or plunge cuts. Always operate with two hands.

Safety instructions

  • General: Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow them may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
  • Personal Safety: Wear eye and ear protection. Use protective gloves and robust, long trousers.
  • Kickback Prevention: Never remove or alter the chain guard. Avoid sawing with the tip of the chain bar. Always hold the saw firmly with both hands.
  • Battery Safety: Protect the battery from heat, fire, water, and moisture.

Product description

Key components include the chain guard, tensioning wheel, auxiliary handle, lock-off button, on/off switch, rear handle, battery receptacle, and the saw chain with chain bar.

Assembly

Inserting/removing the battery: Insert the charged battery into the receptacle until it is fully fitted. Press the battery unlocking button to remove it.

Mounting and tensioning the saw chain:

  1. Place the saw on a flat surface.
  2. Ensure the tensioning wheel is turned fully anticlockwise.
  3. Slot the saw chain into the gap of the chain bar, ensuring the correct running direction.
  4. Place the chain bar on the fastening bolt and place chain links around the drive sprocket.
  5. Rotate the tensioning wheel clockwise until the chain is partially tensioned.
  6. Attach the cover and rotate the SDS lock clockwise until partially secured.
  7. Turn the tensioning wheel clockwise until the correct tension is reached (chain can be raised approx. 2-3 mm from the bar).
  8. Rotate the clamping knob clockwise until firmly secured and fold down the bracket.

Operation

Switching on: Remove the chain cover and insert the charged battery. Hold the saw with both hands. Press the lock-off button and then the on/off switch. Release the lock-off button once the chain moves.

Switching off: Release the on/off switch. The chain will come to a standstill.

Lubrication: The saw chain is not automatically lubricated. Check the chain before each use and apply oil manually in the area between the chain bar and the saw chain.

Maintenance and cleaning

  • Remove the battery before any work on the tool.
  • Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean.
  • Regularly check for obvious defects like loose or damaged chains.
  • Clean the chain and chain bar before storing for an extended period.
  • Do not use high-pressure cleaners.
  • Replace or sharpen the saw chain if it becomes blunt.

Troubleshooting

If the tool does not operate properly, check the battery charge, ensure it is fully inserted, allow the motor to cool if the protector has activated, or check for debris under the SDS cover. If the chain is dry, apply oil. If the saw rips or vibrates, check chain tension and sharpness.
