Product Description
The saw features a lock-off button (1), worklight (2), spindle lock (5), and base plate (6). It is designed for straight and mitre cuts in wood.
Battery
Use only chargers listed in the technical data. Insert the battery until it clicks into place. To remove, press the release button and pull the battery out. Do not use force.
Assembly
Changing the blade: Remove the battery before any work. Press and hold the spindle lock button (5). Use the hex key (3) to loosen the clamping bolt (25). Remove the clamping flange (24) and blade (23). Reverse the steps to install a new blade, ensuring the cutting direction matches the arrow on the guard.
Operation
Setting cutting depth: Loosen the clamping lever (29), adjust the saw position relative to the base plate (6), and retighten.
Setting mitre angle: Loosen wing bolts (8) and (15) (for GKS 18V-57 G) or (8) (for GKS 18V-57), adjust the angle on the scale (9), and retighten.
Maintenance
Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. The retracting blade guard must move freely and close automatically. Clean the guard area regularly with a brush.

Common problems
Saw blade binds or kicks back.
Release the trigger and hold the saw motionless in the material until the blade comes to a complete stop. Investigate and eliminate the cause of the binding.
Battery not charging.
Ensure the charger is listed in the technical data and is compatible with the Li-ion battery.

- Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Check that the lower guard closes freely and instantly.
- Verify the saw blade is sharp and suitable for the material.
- Ensure depth and bevel settings are locked.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (eye protection, dust mask).
