Assembly
Charging the battery: Use only the chargers listed in the technical data. The battery is supplied partially charged. Fully charge it before first use.

Removing the battery: Press the release button and pull the battery downwards out of the tool. Do not use force.
Changing the tool: Open the keyless chuck by turning it in the direction of rotation until the tool can be inserted. Insert the tool and firmly tighten the chuck by hand.
Operation
Starting operation: Set the rotational direction switch to the middle position to prevent accidental starting. Insert the charged battery into the handle until it engages.

Setting the rotational direction: Use the rotational direction switch to change the direction. Right rotation for drilling and driving screws; left rotation for loosening screws and nuts.
Setting the operating mode: Use the operating mode presetting ring to select between drilling, screwdriving, or impact drilling.
Pre-selecting the torque: The torque presetting ring allows you to pre-select the required torque in 20 stages.
Mechanical gear selection: Use the gear selector switch only when the tool is at a standstill. Gear I is for low speed (large drilling diameter/screwdriving), and Gear II is for high speed (small drilling diameter).
Maintenance and Service
Remove the battery before any work on the tool (e.g., maintenance, tool change). Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation. For repairs or spare parts, contact your local Bosch service center.
