This manual covers the operation and safety instructions for the Bosch GSR and GSB Professional cordless drill/driver series (14.4V and 18V models). Always ensure the battery is fully charged before the first use and that the tool is switched off before inserting the battery.

Intended Use
The tools are designed for driving and loosening screws, as well as drilling in wood, metal, ceramics, and plastic. The GSB models are additionally intended for impact drilling in brick, masonry, and stone.
Operation



- Battery: Remove the battery before performing any work on the tool.
- Rotation Direction: Use the rotation direction switch to change between clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation.
- Torque Setting: Adjust the torque using the torque pre-selection ring.
- Operating Mode: Select between drilling and screwdriving (GSR/GSB) or impact drilling (GSB only) using the mode selector.
- Gear Selection: Use the mechanical gear selector to choose between low and high speed.
- Switching On/Off: Press the On/Off switch to start and release to stop.
Maintenance and Cleaning
For safe and proper working, always keep the machine and ventilation slots clean. Clean the application tool, the tool holder, and the ventilation slots of the tool and battery after each use.
Safety Warnings
Always wear ear protection when impact drilling. Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing operations where the cutting accessory or fastener may contact hidden wiring. If the tool insert jams, switch off the power tool immediately to prevent kickback.

The contained lithium-ion batteries are subject to Dangerous Goods Legislation requirements. Dispose of the machine, rechargeable batteries, accessories, and packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.
