This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient use of the Bosch GSR 18-2-LI and GSB 18-2-LI cordless drill/drivers. Always ensure the battery is removed before performing any maintenance or changing tools to prevent accidental startup.

Product Description
These tools are designed for driving and loosening screws and for drilling in wood, metal, ceramic, and plastic. The GSB model is additionally designed for impact drilling in brick, concrete, and stone.
Assembly
Battery Charging: Use only the chargers listed in the technical data. The battery is supplied partially charged. For full capacity, charge it fully before the first use. The Li-ion battery is protected against deep discharge by Electronic Cell Protection (ECP).

Removing the Battery: Press the battery release button and pull the battery out of the tool. Do not use force.
Tool Change: The drill spindle is locked when the on/off switch is not pressed. Open the keyless chuck by turning it in the direction of rotation until the tool can be inserted. Tighten the chuck firmly by hand.
Operation
Rotational Direction: Use the rotational direction switch to change the direction. Do not change this while the on/off switch is pressed.
Operating Modes: Use the operating mode presetting ring to select between drilling, screwdriving, and impact drilling (GSB model only).
Torque Preselection: The torque presetting ring allows you to preselect the required torque in 20 stages.
Speed Selection: Use the gear selector switch only when the tool is not in use. Gear 1 is for low speed/high torque (large drilling diameters/screwdriving), and Gear 2 is for high speed (small drilling diameters).
Maintenance and Cleaning
Always keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe and efficient operation. Remove the battery before any maintenance work.
