This manual provides essential information for the Bosch GDR 18V-215 and GDX 18V-285 cordless impact wrenches. Before using the tool, ensure the battery is fully charged. Always remove the battery before performing maintenance, changing accessories, or storing the tool to prevent accidental startup.

Device Description
The GDR 18V-215 is equipped with a 1/4" internal hex tool holder. The GDX 18V-285 features a dual tool holder, combining a 1/2" external square drive and a 1/4" internal hex bit holder, providing versatility for different applications.
Operation
The tool operates in two phases: screwing in and tightening (impact mechanism). The impact mechanism activates automatically as soon as the screw connection becomes tight and the motor is under load. The impact mechanism converts the motor's power into uniform rotary impacts.

User Interface
The user interface allows for speed preselection and working mode selection. Use the mode button to switch between predefined modes, such as Auto Shut-off (metal) or ABR (available on GDX 18V-285 only), to optimize performance for specific tasks.

Maintenance
Regularly clean the air vents to prevent metal dust accumulation, which can cause electrical hazards. Periodically clean the tool holder and locking sleeve to ensure smooth operation.
Safety
Always wear personal protective equipment, including eye protection. Keep children and bystanders away while operating the tool. Do not use the tool in explosive atmospheres.
