This document provides essential instructions for the Bosch GCM 18V-216 D cordless mitre saw. It covers safe operation, assembly, and maintenance. Always ensure the tool is mounted on a stable, level surface before use. Before any maintenance or transport, remove the battery to prevent accidental activation.
Device Description
The GCM 18V-216 D is a stationary power tool designed for straight cuts in wood, chipboard, and fiberboard. With appropriate blades, it can also cut aluminum profiles and plastic. It features a slide device for wider workpieces and adjustable mitre and bevel angles.
Assembly and Setup

- Workpiece Supports: Insert into the openings on the tool or the second support as needed. Never carry the tool by these supports.
- Clamping Wheel: Screw clockwise onto the threaded bolts to fix the bevel angle.
- Adjustable Fence: Slide into the groove on the right of the blade and tighten the locking screw.
- Mounting: Secure to a flat, stable surface using the mounting holes or screw clamps.
Operation
Transport Safety Lock: To unlock, press the tool arm down slightly, pull the lock out, and guide the arm up. To lock, pull the arm forward, tighten the locking screw, pull the depth stop up, and swing the arm down until the lock can be pushed in.

Sawing: Always tighten the locking knob and clamping wheel before sawing. Ensure the blade does not contact the fence or clamps. Stand to the side of the blade to avoid kickback.
Laser Adjustment
The laser indicates the cutting line. To adjust: bring the tool to the work position, turn the table to 0°, and check the laser alignment. If adjustment is needed, remove the laser protection cap and adjust the laser housing until the beams do not deviate laterally when the tool arm moves.
Maintenance
Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. Ensure the retracting blade guard moves freely and closes automatically. Regularly clean the guide roller and remove dust/chips after each use.
