Quick guide from the manual

This document provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of the Bosch GSA 12V-14 cordless reciprocating saw. Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance or changing accessories to prevent accidental startup.

Device Description

The GSA 12V-14 is a professional-grade cordless reciprocating saw designed for cutting wood, plastic, metal, and building materials on a firm surface. It is suitable for both straight and curved cuts.

Assembly

Inserting/changing the saw blade: Wear protective gloves when handling the saw blade as it can become hot during use. Ensure the saw blade receptacle is free of material residue (e.g., wood or metal chips). Turn the locking sleeve approximately 90° in the direction of the arrow, insert the blade into the receptacle, and release the sleeve. Always pull on the blade to ensure it is securely seated.

Operation

Switching On and Off: Press the lock-off button to the left, then press and hold the on/off switch. To switch off, release the on/off switch and press the lock-off button to the right.

Stroke rate control: The stroke rate is variably adjustable by the pressure applied to the on/off switch. Light pressure results in a low stroke rate; increased pressure increases the rate.

Temperature/Overload Protection: The red indicator (9) warns of battery overheating or motor overload. If it lights up permanently, the battery is too hot; if it flashes red, the tool is blocked.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation. Clean the saw blade receptacle with a soft brush. If the tool becomes heavily soiled, it may lead to malfunctions; avoid cutting materials that generate large amounts of dust from below or overhead.

Rated voltage: 12V. No-load stroke rate: 0–3000 min⁻¹. Max cutting depth: 65mm (wood), 8mm (steel), 50mm (pipe diameter). Weight: 1.2–1.4 kg.
