Device Description
The GCM 18V-254 D is a cordless mitre saw designed for straight longitudinal and cross-cuts in wood, chipboard, and fiberboard. With appropriate saw blades, it can also cut aluminum profiles and plastic.
Assembly
Before first use, ensure all parts are included: the mitre saw with a pre-mounted blade, clamping wheel (45), adjustable fence (26), screw clamp (41), hex key/screwdriver (43), dust bag (37), and two workpiece supports (24). Mount the saw on a flat, stable surface or a Bosch saw stand.
Operation
Ensure the transport safety lock (34) is released before use. The saw features horizontal mitre angles from -48° to +48° and vertical bevel angles from 47° (left) to 47° (right). Always tighten the locking knob (16) and clamping wheel (45) before sawing.
Laser Adjustment
The saw includes a laser to indicate the cutting line. If the laser lines are misaligned due to intensive use, they can be adjusted. Ensure the saw is connected to power for testing, but do not activate the on/off switch while adjusting.
Maintenance
Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. The retracting blade guard must move freely and close automatically. Regularly clean the guide roller (11) and remove dust/chips after each use.
