This manual provides instructions for the Bosch GOP 18V-40 Professional cordless multi-cutter. It covers safety, assembly, operation, and maintenance.
Device Description
The tool is designed for sawing and cutting wood, plastic, plasterboard, non-ferrous metals, and mounting elements. It is also suitable for dry sanding and scraping small areas.

Assembly

Tool Change
Open the Starlock lever (7) to the stop. The accessory will be ejected. Place the desired accessory on the tool holder (8) and press it firmly until it locks automatically.
Depth Stop
The depth stop (10) can be used with segment and plunge cut saw blades. Slide it over the tool holder (8) onto the collar of the power tool and lock it.
Dust Extraction
Connect the dust extraction system (13 or 14) to the tool holder (8) and lock it with the clamping lever (23). Connect the extraction hose (26) to a suitable vacuum cleaner.
Operation

Switching On/Off
Slide the on/off switch (3) forward to "I" to switch on, and backward to "0" to switch off.
User Interface
The user interface (2) allows for status indication, oscillation speed preselection, and switching Adaptive Speed Control and Stop Control functions on/off.
Adaptive Speed Control and Stop Control
- Adaptive Speed Control: Low speed at the start of the cut for precise positioning, then automatically increases speed.
- Stop Control: Automatically switches off the tool at the end of a work process to prevent damage to neighboring objects.
Working Advice
- Sawing: Use only undamaged saw blades.
- Sanding: Material removal rate depends on the sanding sheet, oscillation speed, and contact pressure.
- Scraping: Select a high oscillation speed level. Work on a soft surface at a flat angle with low contact pressure.
Maintenance
Remove the battery before any work on the tool. Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean.
