The Bosch GKT 18V-52 GC is a cordless plunge saw designed for straight and miter cuts in wood, plastics, and light building materials. It is not intended for cutting ferrous metals. The tool features Bluetooth connectivity for data transfer when used with the GCY 42 / GCY 42 NC module.

Safety Instructions

Always wear personal protective equipment, including eye protection and a dust mask. Keep hands away from the cutting area and the blade. Do not reach underneath the workpiece. Adjust the cutting depth to the thickness of the workpiece. Ensure the guard closes properly before each use.

Operation

To start the tool, press the lock-off switch (2) and then the on/off switch (1). The plunge function is unlocked when the lock-off switch is pressed. Release the on/off switch to stop the tool.

Setting Cutting Depth

Push the slider (36) to set the required cutting depth on the scale (10). The indicator (7) shows the depth when using a Bosch guide rail.

Adjusting Miter/Bevel Angle

Loosen the wing bolts (13) and (16), swivel the saw to the desired angle on the scale (11), and retighten the bolts. Do not exert force on the auxiliary handle (4) during this process.

Blade Change

Remove the battery before any work on the tool. Flip the lever (3) forward, slide the lock-off switch (2) forward, and press the saw into the base plate (8) until it engages in the blade change position. Press and hold the spindle lock button (28) and use the hex key (9) to remove the clamping bolt (23) and flange (24).

Maintenance

Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. The protective guard (15) must move freely and close automatically. Regularly clean the chip ejector (18) and the dust/chip bag (51).
