  • Harness: Attach the harness to the loops on the handles, ensuring the larger hook is on the main handle and the smaller hook is on the front handle.
  • Telescopic Height: Loosen the adjustment joint, extend the tube to the desired length, and retighten.
  • Pivoting Head: Press the adjustment buttons to set the head to the required angle.
  • Chain Lubrication: Fill the oil reservoir with biodegradable chain oil before use.
  • Chain Tensioning: Check chain tension before use, after the first cuts, and regularly during operation. The chain is correctly tensioned when it can be raised approx. 2–3 mm from the chain bar in the center.

Maintenance and Storage

  • Cleaning: Clean the tool with a cloth before storage.
  • Oil Removal: Remove oil from the reservoir before long-term storage.
  • Storage: Always fit the guide bar cover when transporting or storing the tool. Store in a dry, locked location out of the reach of children.

Troubleshooting

If the saw chain is dry, refill the oil reservoir. If the chain or guide bar becomes hot, check the oil level, clean the oil passage, or adjust the chain tension. If the tool vibrates or does not cut properly, check the chain tension, sharpen or replace the chain, and ensure the teeth are facing the correct direction.
