To ensure the longevity and performance of your Bosch countertop espresso machine, follow these daily maintenance steps:

- Water Tank: Fill the tank with fresh, non-carbonated water to prevent unwanted deposits.
- Cleaning: Clean the drip tray and coffee grounds container daily.
- Bean Selection: Store coffee beans in a sealed container in a cool place. Use only pure, roasted beans suitable for fully automatic machines. Do not use coated, caramelized, oily, or sugar-treated beans, and do not use ground coffee, as these can damage the appliance.
- Alerts: The machine display will alert you when action is required, such as replacing the water filter or performing cleaning/descaling. Alerts will disappear once the task is completed.
Water Filters
Using a water filter is optional but recommended to minimize limescale and improve flavor. If you choose to use one, you must set the aroma ring at the bottom of the filter based on your water hardness:
- Hard Water: Set the ring to C.
- Soft Water: Set the ring to A.
300 Series Tips
The 300 Series offers specific customization options for your coffee:

- Adjusting Strength: Press the Coffee Bean button on the display repeatedly until the desired strength is selected.
- Customizing Drink Size: Place a cup under the dispensing nozzle, then hold the Espresso or Coffee button for three seconds. The display will show progress. Once the desired level is reached, press the button again to stop and save the drink size.
- Milk-based Drinks: You can easily brew milk-based drinks.
- Frothing: To adjust milk temperature, allow the frother to run longer for hotter milk or shorter for cooler milk.
800 Series Tips
The 800 Series includes advanced features and specific care instructions:

- Cleaning: For models TPU60706 and TQU60703, clean the stainless steel surfaces with a soft cloth and mild, soapy water. Always wipe in the direction of the grain.
- Home Connect: You can pair your machine with the Home Connect app to control functions, adjust settings, and monitor status. Download the app, go to the machine settings, select Home Connect, and follow the display instructions to access the QR code for pairing.
